19th Century Spouted Measure, together with 19th Century Tankard
Both pieces made by Robert Galbraith of Glasgow (1829-1872), Cotterell 1802.
The spouted measure, of one quart capacity, with an elegant tulip-shaped body, standing on a flared foot, and with a double-scrolled handle with a fish tail terminal.
With maker’s stamp to the top lip.

By the same maker, and very similar style, is a quart tankard, again tulip-shaped body and double-scrolled handle.
Maker’s mark is again on the top lip.
